What a "Church on the Street" Does

COTS Units are independent of one another (see our COTS Links page), and there are many different ways a COTS may choose to run their program. To name a few...

  1. A temporary free homeless shelter. Clothe, feed, and preach the Word in the hopes of converting them.
  2. A Christian residential program helping to equip ex-offenders to re-enter society successfully.
  3. A building or large room, where evangelists can meet, learn, pray, fellowship and practice before and after going out to open air preach, go on door-to-door visitation, witness one-to-one, and hand out tracts.
  4. A soup kitchen where they can witness to needy individuals and families.
  5. A church where the members' main object is to go out and preach.

Our Mission is to become a leading provider of a temporary Christian residential program for those who want to be equipped to re-enter society successfully.
Our Target is ex-offenders and traveling evangelists. 
 Our Purpose is to reach out with the love of Jesus Christ, providing start-up clothing, food, temporary shelter, and meeting their spiritual needs.

COTS’s operating expenses are paid for by not only our own efforts, but, thank God, by private individuals. When you support COTS, every penny you donate will go directly to help support, equip, train, mobilize and motivate ex-offenders to actively better their lives.
